"Prakruthi Infopark" got inaugurated by the great environmental activist Dr Vandana Shiva ,in the presence of Dr Suresh Kumar, Gen Sec CISSA, Dr Usha Menon Amrita Institute of Medical sciences, P S Pradeep Director FarmersFZ,President Prakruthi Infopark and Jinoop Nair ,Environmentalist and Secretary Prakruthi Infopark.

About Prakruthi

Prakruthi - a voluntary group of Techies was formed under the aegis of the Centre for Innovation in Science & Social Action (CISSA), NATANA, Tejus and Technopark and now gradually expanding its foothold to Infopark. We aim to promote green and healthy living among Technopark and Infopark employees. The vision of the group is “To empower people to adopt a healthy living and to promote a sustainable co-existence with nature.”

The rationale of our existence has stemmed from the fact that Technopark and Infopark crowd forms one of the largest consumers of ‘Fast Food’ in the State and also tops the ‘Life-style diseases’ chart in Kerala. In this backdrop, it is more imperative to educate our fellow Technoparkians and Infoparkians about the ill-effects of an unhealthy lifestyle and empower them to live a greener, healthy life, in harmony with the nature.

About Annam

Annam 2015 – is a National Food and Agro – biodiversity festival and this is the third edition happening at Cochin. Annam was formed as a people movement for good, safe and indigenous food chaired by Dr. Vandana Shiva. Latest edition of this festival commenced on 12th December 2015 and it will be on till 14th of December. With its focal theme of Food, Health and Youth it has decided to spread the message against the gush of junk food to regain the bygone glory of local food. Annam 2015 is splendid with the esteemed presence of Shri.Oommen Chandy, Honorable Chief Minister, Kerala, Shri. K.P.Mohanan, Honorable Minister of Agriculture, Shri.Anup Jacob, Honorable Minister of Civil Supplies. Seminar, Exhibition, Workshops, Competitions and Cultural Programmes to follow the inaugural functions.

The following broad activities have been envisaged under the group -(a) Promote ‘Green Food’ (b) Encourage ‘Organic Farming’ (c) Propagate ‘Green Living’ (d) Support ‘Green Ideas’ (e) Propagate ‘Recycling’ & ‘Waste Management’ which will eventually contribute to the sustainable living conditions of Technoparkians and Infoparkians moreover it can be a value addition to the activities of greenest IT parks in the country.
